Dennis Schnurbusch II, CEO of River Heritage Conservancy, welcomed representatives of the community and state leaders to hold a historic groundbreaking ceremony for a new Event Center to be located at 1235 West Kenwood, in Clarksville, Indiana. According to Schnurbusch, “Construction of the Event Center will be the cornerstone of the transformation of the 430-acre park.”

• Regional Partners Introduce Community & Economic Impact Report for Origin Park 08.05.21 | Greater Louisville Inc, and One Southern Indiana partnered today to unveil the results of the HR&A-authored Community & Economic Impact study for Origin Park. Among other findings, the report projects that the construction and operation of Origin Park will create over 3,200 jobs and $264 million in economic activity. In addition, it will drive $8-$23 million in new tourism spending and improve workforce productivity by advancing the region’s health and wellness.

• The Falls of the Ohio announces LightFall with River Heritage Conservancy and SoIN Tourism 07.21.21 | Louisville and Southern Indiana residents will see the Falls of the Ohio in a new light thanks to LightFall, an event showcasing a Sept. 5-8 art installation that will transform the iconic natural landmark. The art installation, Aleuria, will be a meditative, immersive light and sound experience, created by Louisville-born artist, Annie Mitchell. The name Aleuria comes from a brightly colored edible fungus found in Indiana and reflects Mitchell’s focus on natural landscapes.

The 4.5-mile Silver Creek Blueway is the first component of ORIGIN Park, a 600-acre master planned park designed by OLIN Studio, designers of the Washington Monument grounds, Bryant Park (NYC), Apple Computers Corporate Headquarters and the Getty Museum.
