Brandt Baughman has worked for Indiana State Parks since 1990. He first worked at Spring Mill State Park as a lifeguard throughout his college years, then started his career in management as the Assistant Property Manager at Ouabache State Park in 1994, before transferring as assistant to Spring Mill State Park in 1995, where he worked for nearly 11 years. Brandt then was appointed as the Property Manager at Indiana Dunes State Park in late-2025, a position he held for 13 years. Brandt assumed the role of North Region Manager in mid-2018, then became the Deputy Director of Operations in 2021. In September 2025, he became Director of Indiana State Parks. Brandt and his wife Allyson have two children: their 14-year-old son, Asher, and their 11-year-old daughter, Anya. The Baughman’s have resided in Indianapolis since 2021.
